About the Congress

An interdisciplinary congress series since 2018

The Congress brings together lawyers, clinicians, embryologists, psychologists, bioethicists and specialists in data protection and quality management to discuss the legal, clinical and ethical questions of assisted reproduction.

The format is scientific and practical rather than promotional: presentations, expert discussions and case analysis across jurisdictions.

About the Congress

Six main themes

Digital transformation and artificial intelligence run through all sessions. The list of themes is preliminary.

Legal regulation of ART in Ukraine and abroad

Developments in legislation, reproductive rights, donation, and the legal status of gametes and embryos.

Digital transformation and AI in reproductive medicine

AI in reproductive medicine, digital consent, traceability, cybersecurity and the long-term preservation of donor records.

Bioethics and psychological aspects of reproductive innovation

Artificial wombs, ethical limits, donor-conceived identity, disclosure of genetic origins and the wellbeing of children and families.

International legal practice and cross-border programmes

Parentage and its recognition, access to treatment, international surrogacy and the protection of children and other participants.

Practical aspects of ART programmes and reproductive material storage

Gamete banks, consent, fertility preservation, posthumous reproduction, transfers of material and continuity of storage.

Patient safety and professional responsibility

Clinical and laboratory incidents, professional liability, quality management, contractual risks and dispute resolution.
